RMC Arlington Staff Present at National Title I Conference
In San Antonio, Texas on February 21, RMC staffers Linda McDonald, Karen Sanders, and Beverly Mattson made a presentation titled "Accepting the Mission: Facing the Challenge of School and District Improvement," to a packed room of educators at the 2009 National Title I State Directors Conference (NASTID). The NASTID conference is the premiere event for all those working within the Title I program. Several thousand attendees include state and district Title I directors from across the country. In their presentation, the presenters drew on RMC Arlington's work with three statewide systems of support for schools under the No Child Left Behind Act and the Individuals with Disabilities Act to identify key challenges, strategies, and lessons learned. "We were very proud to be selected to present," Karen said. "Our presentation focused on a theory of change for school improvement and statewide support. At the end, the participants reflected on their own theory of change, and on whether it had been affected by what they had just heard." |
